About ALUSNA

Learn how ALUSNA supports color, typography, design-system, and brand-kit work directly in the browser.

What is ALUSNA?

ALUSNA is a browser-based design toolkit for exploring color, typography, design tokens, and brand kits. All core features are free, require no account, and run directly on your device.

How it works

Color calculations, token generation, and image-palette extraction run entirely in your browser — including image processing in a Web Worker so the interface stays responsive. Preferences that need to persist are stored in your device's local storage (IndexedDB), not on our servers.

Privacy commitment

Your design data is never sent to an ALUSNA server. The site uses no user accounts, no tracking cookies, and no third-party ad networks by default. Details are described in the Privacy Policy.

Funding model

Core features are free. Site operations may be supported by clearly labeled sponsor slots, affiliate links, or voluntary support buttons. Funding never alters tool results, and every commercial placement is disclosed in the Advertising and Affiliate Policy.

Changelog

v1.2.0 — Design workspace release v1.2

September 6, 2026

ALUSNA v1.2 brings a clearer design workspace together with safer launch foundations and a more maintainable codebase.

  • Phases 0–8 remain the foundation of this release: modular architecture and safety net, ALUSNA identity, feature migration, app shell/SEO, hardening, organic growth, and the visual workspace redesign.
  • Design System drafts are restored automatically for the current browser session with strict sanitization and mode/export validation.
  • Homepage, Color, Typography, Design System, and Brand Kit now share a consistent editorial visual system in light and dark mode.
  • Brand Kit tabs and editor panels are responsive without horizontal scrolling on mobile and tablet.
  • Brand Kit now focuses on the active identity; the redundant saved-palette panel was removed without deleting saved-color data.
  • Font pairing suggestions now follow the active family; clicking a pairing only changes the pairing preview, not the primary selection.
  • Design System now includes a color picker and HEX input for a custom base color, with an option to use the active Color workspace value.
  • The Component Kit MVP adds token-driven Button, Badge, Input, Select, Checkbox, Switch, and Alert previews with copyable CSS handoff.
  • The Overlays category adds Tabs, Dialog, and Toast examples with local interactions and accessible handoff patterns.
  • Component Kit handoff can now be copied as CSS, Tailwind, or React with consistent token values.
  • The Design System radius slider now updates Component Kit preview corners and CSS, Tailwind, and React handoff consistently; radius 0 produces square corners independently of button size.
  • The spacing unit now controls Component Kit padding, gaps, and section spacing, and is reflected in handoff snippets.
  • Brand Kit action messages are bilingual; CSS, JSON, SCSS, Tailwind, and React Native exports remain browser-local.
  • Node.js 22 validation includes 162 unit tests and 35 E2E scenarios (34 passed, 1 optional skipped), a production build, and a production dependency audit with no vulnerabilities found.
  • The bilingual SEO, canonical, hreflang, sitemap, privacy, terms, and advertising-policy foundation from v1.0 remains intact.
